‘Watchmen’ y ‘Ozark’ lideran las nominaciones al Emmy; checa la lista completa aquí
Este martes, La Academia de la Televisión de Estados Unidos dio a conocer a los nominados a la entrega número 72 de los premios Emmy , los cuales se llevarán a cabo el próximo 20 de septiembre. El anunció destacó a producciones de Netflix como "Stranger Things" y Ozark, además de "Watchmen" y "Killing Eve" de HBO.
La ceremonia será conducida por Jimmy Kimmel en un formato adaptado a la pandemia. Entre los nominados a mejor serie dramática se encuentran “The Crown”, “The Mandalorian”, “Better Call Saul”, “Stranger Things”, “The Handmaid’s Tale” y “Succesion”; mientras que “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, “Dead to Me”, “The Good Place”, “Insecure”, “The Kominsky Method”, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”, “Schitt’s Creek” y “What We Do in the Shadows” se enfrentarán a mejor comedia.
Este año, "Watchmen" se posiciona como la serie más nominada con 26 candidaturas: como mejor miniserie, mejor actriz, mejor actor, mejor actriz y actor de reparto, entre otras, con diversos miembros del elenco en cada categoría. Le sigue “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” con 20; “Ozark” y Sucession”; y “The Mandolorian” con 15 nominaciones.
En la categoría de mejor actriz dramática, compiten Jennifer Aniston (“The Morning Show”), Olivia Colman (“The Crown”), Jodie Comer y Sandra Oh (ambas por “Killing Eve”), Laura Linney (“Ozark”) y Zendaya (“Euphoria”); para mejor actor compiten Jason Bateman ("Ozark"), Sterling K. Brown ("This is Us"), Steve Carell ("The Morning Show"), Brian Cox y Jeremy Strong (ambos por "Succession") y Billy Porter ("Pose").
Aunque no se han revelado datos al respecto, se sabe que este año la ceremonia de los premios Emmy se llevará a cabo con medidas adicionales de seguridad para evitar la propagación del covid-19.
